Arlene Chin is a proven council veteran with four decades of grassroots community leadership in Tempe - more leadership experience than any other council candidate. Highly accomplished and qualified, she is the best choice to lead Tempe forward!

Arlene made history as the first Asian American to serve on the Tempe City Council. She’s a proud graduate of our city’s public schools, attending Kyrene del Norte Elementary School, Kyrene Middle School, and Corona del Sol High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a master’s degree from Northern Arizona University. She currently works as the Director of Scholarship Advancement for the ASU Foundation. Among her primary achievements during her term on council are passing the city’s comprehensive Climate Action Plan and adopting Tempe’s Right to Breathe Plan.
